Topics of Interest

Set for Season Finale: Ryan Hemphill and the No. 4 Square D Bobby Hamilton Racing Dodge Team enter the final race of the year with one thing in mind. They must turn in a solid performance and get to the finish line of the race.

"We just need to finish this race," said Hemphill. "I had a little trouble last week right there at the end of the race. So my goal this week is to finish every lap of the race."

Hemphill enters the race ranked 37th in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver points standings. He can mathematically finish as high as 34th position. The No. 4 Team is ranked in the 16th position in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series owner's points standings. It is possible for the team to reach the 14th position in the owner's points standings following the Ford 200 event.

"We're not that worried about the driver points after the California deal, but I want to get this team as high in the points as I can," said Hemphill. "They have been through a lot this year, so if they can finish in the top 15 in the points that would be great."

Sponsor: Square D will be the primary sponsor on the No. 4 Bobby Hamilton Racing truck for the final event of the season at Homestead Miami Speedway. Square D has been with one of the Bobby Hamilton Racing Team's since the Michigan Speedway event earlier this season. At that event, Robert Pressley took them to victory lane.

"It's good to have something on the truck," said Hemphill. "We still need a sponsor for next year, but at least we have someone on the truck for this race."

Past History: Neither the No. 4 Square D Bobby Hamilton Racing Team or Hemphill have ever started a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Homestead Miami Speedway.

Career Stats: Hemphill will be making his fourth start for Bobby Hamilton Racing at this week's event. It will also be his sixth start this season in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. With the start Hemphill will surpass the $ 50,000 mark in career NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series earnings.

"I've had a great time the last month," said Hemphill. "I just want to race week in and week out. I like the Craftsman Truck Series and the guys out there you have to race with. I've had a rough time with a few of them the last two weeks, but that is just part of being the new guy. They are learning to race with me, and I'm learning who I can race with and how to race them."

This Week's Truck: Hemphill will be driving, King, at Homestead Miami Speedway this week. It was last run at Kansas earlier this year with Brian Rose behind the wheel. The best finish for King is an eighth place finish at St. Louis this past May.
