Topics of Interest

Needs to Rebound: Robert Pressley and the No. 18 Bobby Hamilton Racing Team is desperately seeking to rebound after two straight races of disappointment.  "We've had some terrible luck the last two races," said Pressley. "I just hope we get it all out of the way early in the season. The good thing is that several of the guys around us that we thought would be contenders this year have had trouble too. So we're not as far back as we could be."

After the broken rear end gear last week in St. Louis, Pressley and the No. 18 Team fell to the fifth position in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series points standings, 47 points out of the lead.

"Some teams would be in a panic after the last two weeks, but we know we
have a great team and we'll get back to victory lane and the points will take
care of themselves," said Pressley. "I'm not that worried about it because I
know what we are capable of and it's just a matter of time before we get this bad luck behind us."

Last Year: Last year, the No. 18 Team won the Rocky Mountain 200 at Pikes
Peak International Raceway with Joe Ruttman behind the wheel and Danny
Rollins making the calls from pit road.

Entering this year's event, there is very little that is the same on the No. 18 team. Pressley has replaced Ruttman behind the wheel, and Rollins is working with Brian Rose and the No. 4 Bobby Hamilton Racing Team. Also the new Dodge Ram body style has changed much of the setup for the racetrack.

"There just isn't much to take from last year into this race," said Danny Gill, Crew Chief of the No. 18. "About the only thing that is the same is the number on the truck. We've got a completely different setup under the truck."

Pervious History: Bobby Hamilton Racing and the No. 18 truck will be making
their third visit to the one-mile Colorado oval. In 1999 Butch Miller finished 10th in the event with Gill crew chiefing that effort. In 2000 Ruttman finished 22nd after a series of tire problems dropped him five laps down.

Mother's Day Weekend: While most teams in the Truck Series took this past weekend off for Mother's Day, the No. 18 team attended the ARCA race at Kentucky Speedway where they worked on the West Bay Racing entry that Brent Sherman raced.

This Week's Truck: The No. 18 Team will again race, "Angel" this coming week at Pikes Peak International Raceway. This will be the third race in a row
that Angel will take to the racetrack. Angel is also the same truck that won
the race at Pikes Peak last season.
