February 1, 2002 David Pepper Named Marketing Director of
Bobby Hamilton Racing
Mount Juliet, Tennessee (February 1, 2002)-Team owner, Bobby Hamilton,
announced the appointment of David Pepper as Director of Marketing after
spending the last three seasons handling public relations duties for Bobby
Hamilton Racing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Pepper’s new role
with the team will have him overseeing all marketing and new business
development along with continuing to handle public relation duties as they
pertain to Bobby Hamilton Racing.
Pepper’s responsibilities will be to develop new sponsor prospects, along
with maintaining Bobby Hamilton Racing’s current sponsor relationships. He
will also be responsible for scheduling all team related events.
In making the announcement, Hamilton said that, “This assignment includes
the responsibility for our organization and our three teams, and I'm
pleased that David Pepper has agreed to assume this position. He has made a
big contribution to our past success and will continue to play an important
role as we grow into the future.”
The one thing that will not change with Pepper’s new role is his work with
the No. 8 Dodge Motorsports team, driven by Bill Lester, and the No. 18
Dodge, driven by Robert Pressley. As in the past, all scheduling for the
drivers of these two teams will remain under Pepper’s supervision.
The third team for Bobby Hamilton Racing, driven by Brian Rose, will be
handled a little differently. All team related questions and scheduling
will be handled by Pepper, but any requests for Brian Rose will be handled
by an outside marketing company.
