Red Line Oil to Sponsor No. 4
Bobby Hamilton Racing Team at Texas Motor
Speedway -
Joe Ruttman Gets Ride and Sponsor
for One Race Deal
Mount Juliet, Tennessee (September 11, 2002) - Red Line
Synthetic Oil Corporation of Benicia, California will be
stepping up their current relationship with Bobby Hamilton
Racing by becoming the primary sponsor of the No. 4 Dodge
driven, by veteran racer, Joe Ruttman, in this week's NASCAR
Craftsman Truck Series event at Texas Motor Speedway.
"We could not be happier about this opportunity," said Tim
Kerrigan, President of Red Line Oil. "We've been associated
with the Bobby Hamilton Racing teams for several years now,
and I can't think of a better way for us to enhance this
relationship. They have been great to us and to be able to
put this one race deal together is just icing on the cake so
to speak. Plus, it will give us some excellent exposure in a
really great racing series."
Red Line Oil has been an associate sponsor with Bobby
Hamilton Racing for the last two seasons. During which time,
the team has gone to victory lane five times with drivers
Ruttman and Hamilton behind the wheel.
"This whole thing came together pretty quick this week,"
said Hamilton. "The Red Line folks are some great people,
and they have really been an important part of us winning
races over the last few years. So to have them have their
own truck is a pretty good deal for both of us. I'm pretty
confident about what Ruttman and the team will do at Texas.
I think this is a good opportunity for everyone involved."
Red Line Oil Corporation will continue its current associate
sponsorship program with Bobby Hamilton Racing's No. 18
Dickies Square D Truck and the No. 8 Dodge Motorsports truck
for this race and the remainder of the season.
"Monday, I was sitting at home with nothing to do this week
and now I have a ride and a sponsor," said Ruttman. "Things
happen fast in this business. To say I'm excited about this
Friday would be the understatement of a lifetime. I just
can't wait to get the Red Line Oil Dodge out on the track
and see what we can do for the team."
This event will be the fourth start of the season for
Ruttman in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, and the 168th
of his career, which is second all-time in series history.
Currently, Ruttman sits in the 41st position in the Truck
Series points standings. |
