Schneider Electric and Bobby Hamilton team up for Truck Series Sponsorship

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (July 24, 2002) - Schneider Electric and Bobby Hamilton are teaming up for another motorsports sponsorship. Schneider Electric has announced it will expand its sponsorship by becoming a major associate on Hamilton's No. 18 Dodge truck in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Focusing
in on the market leading brand of electrical distribution and control, Schneider Electric has chosen to place Square D, the flagship brand in the United States, on Robert Pressley's truck for the remainder of the 2002 Craftsman Truck Series season. The Square D logo will now be displayed on the hood and lower rear quarter panels.

"This opportunity developed from an existing relationship we have with Bobby in Winston Cup," said Mike Lesley, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Schneider North America. "Sponsoring his truck - a truck that continues to have strong finishes - is another tremendous opportunity for Square D to build relationships with our customers. They have responded very well to our motorsports program and this is an additional way for us to continue those connections."

The additional sponsorship does not affect the existing program with Schneider Electric and Winston Cup Series owner Andy Petree's No. 55 Chevrolet. The dual-series sponsorship will help Schneider Electric maximize its exposure and grow product awareness through race programs.

"We are still committed to Andy Petree and our Winston Cup Series sponsorship," Lesley continued. "This is yet another way for our company to reach a whole new realm of racing fans. Schneider Electric rallies behind its sponsorships in this sport and we are looking forward to another opportunity."

"I couldn't be happier," said Hamilton. "My relationship with Schneider Electric and Andy's (Petree) race team has been a great one, and for this opportunity to expand our relationship with the people at Square D is nothing short of fantastic for me and my truck team. I'm just glad that we're able to help them grow their involvement in Motorsports."

Pressley and the No. 18 Bobby Hamilton Racing Team won the season opener at
Daytona International Speedway in February and currently sit eighth in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series points standings. Through 12 races the team has recorded one win, four top five finishes, and eight top ten finishes.

"It will be good to have a sponsor on the side of the truck," said Pressley. "We've been racing most of the season without a primary sponsor, and to have
Square D come onboard as a major associate is just going to make this team even stronger. I know we still need additional sponsorship, but to have such a strong company as Square D step up and join us, tells me just what kind of organization that I drive for. One of the best."
