Topics of Interest

New Driver: Bobby Hamilton Jr. will behind the wheel of the No. 4 Bobby
Hamilton Racing entry this week at Nashville Super Speedway for the running of the Federated Auto Parts 200. Hamilton Jr. will be making his first start in the Truck Series this season, and it could not come at a better place.  Hamilton Jr. has competed in all three NASCAR Busch Grand National events at the super speedway and to date, he has recorded a second and a third place effort during the two races held in 2002. In 2001, he had the car to beat until a problem in turn one and two ended his day.

"For some reason, I have done really good at the new track," said Hamilton Jr. "I'm not sure if it's my driving style or if it's because of being at home. We had planned on running this race earlier in the year with Ed Rensi, but when the deal with the No. 4 came about, it just made sense to get in the family truck."

The No. 4 Team enters the event in the 19th position in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series owner's points standings, following the Indianapolis
Raceway Park event last weekend.

Sponsors: The No. 4 Dodge truck will display two new sponsors for the Nashville Super Speedway race this weekend. Harris Electrical Supply Company will appear on the truck along with MPact Construction. Harris Electrical Supply Company is a Square D distributor for Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky. They service the residential, contractor, industrial, and OEM markets with a variety of electrical supply equipment. They have been in the Nashville, Tennessee area since 1956.  MPact Construction is a local Nashville, Tennessee building company that has joined Bobby Hamilton Racing for this one event.

One Start in Truck Series: Hamilton Jr. has one start in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in his NASCAR career. In 2001, he started the event at the Milwaukee Mile in the No. 4 Truck. He finished in the 33rd position that day.

Championship Hunt: With eight races remaining in the 2002 season, there are still 23 teams that can win the 2002 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Championship.

Past History: Last year at Nashville Super Speedway, Bill Lester ran the No.
4 truck with sponsorship from Dodge. He qualified in the 10th position, but was involved in an early accident that dropped him to a 30th place finish.

Open House: On Thursday, August 8, 2002, from 6 PM to 10 PM Bobby Hamilton Racing will be hosting an open house at their Mount Juliet, Tennessee shop. The event will have live entertainment, souvenirs, and the Craftsman Interactive on site.

This Week's Truck: Hamilton Jr. will be racing "Hank" at the Nashville Super
Speedway for the No. 4 Team this week. Hank has never started or finished
outside the top ten since it was built over the winter.
