• Moore started his Winston Cup Series crew chief career in 1997 with
driver Kenny Wallace at Filmar Racing. Prior to his new title Moore served
as head fabricator in the shop.
• Moore drove mini-modified cars and claimed the track championship at
Nashville Speedway in 1982 and 1984. He also built the cars and engines
that won the races.
• Moore’s racing career started as a teenager when he worked as a mechanic
