Gene Patient joined Bobby Hamilton Racing in December of 2001 to help enhance the team’s fabrication department and help develop the new Dodge Ram body style. He returned home to Nashville, Tennessee after spending a year with Evernham Motorsports in Charlotte, North Carolina. Before working for Evernham Motorsports, Patient was the head fabricator at Brewco Motorsports in the NASCAR Busch Series.

Patient has only been in racing for eight years, but during this time, he has established himself as one of the bright young talents in the business. Patient is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the building fleet of Dodge Rams campaigned by BHR drivers, Bobby Hamilton, Chad Chaffin, and Bill Lester in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. He also works very close with the team’s engineering department on wind tunnel information and development of the truck bodies.

Over the past few years, Patient has built cars and trucks for drivers Bill Elliott, Casey Atwood, Kevin Grubb, Bobby Hamilton, Robert Pressley, and Jeremy Mayfield.
