News and Notes:
ƒæ The Virginia native will be making his 10th NASCAR start at The Milwaukee Mile this weekend. He has five Nationwide and four Craftsman Truck Series starts to his credit.  He has scored one top-10 finish in those four truck starts.
ƒæ The No. 4 Dodge will be showcasing the Bryden Motors Dodge paint scheme Friday night. The Bryden Motors Dodge dealership was the outstanding sales performer selling more Dodge vehicles than all the surrounding dealerships thus winning the prize to sponsor Compton's No. 4 Dodge Ram this weekend.
ƒæ Compton will pilot ¡§Slim¡¨ this weekend at Milwaukee. He drove this particular chassis in May at Mansfield Motorsports Park to a 10th place finish. As one of the oldest chassis in the race shop ¡§Slim¡¨ earned his namesake from the late Bobby Hamilton who loved the hit song ¡§The Real Slim Shady,¡¨ by rapper Eninem.

A Look Back: Since 2004 at least one Bobby Hamilton Racing (BHR) entry has finished in the top 10 at The Milwaukee Mile event.

The Ultimate Car Salesman: ¡§Before I was able to turn my passion for racing into a career I worked for our family automotive business. We had everything from a salvage yard to a car lot. We sold cars and did maintenance work on them in our garage. I ran the garage for my dad and also ran one of our body shops. All that experience comes in handy on the racing side of things from time to time. On numerous occasions I have had to jump in and fix parts of our race car just like you would in the body shop. We still have the car lot today. If you catch me near the computer chances are I am on the Internet looking for cars to sale.¡¨

Make-A-Wish Moment: ¡§Last weekend while we were in Michigan, Dennis and I had the chance to take part in a Make-A-Wish event. The speedway has a program they call MIS Kids. Each child has some type of life-threatening disease. The speedway brings the child along with their family members to the race track on Friday. They are located in a suite much of the afternoon and drivers come by when they are available to sign autographs. We were able to go to the suite and spend some time with the kids. Those kids are the real heroes. I could not get over how happy they were despite the problems they face. As soon as I walked outside the door I called Olivia and Isabella to tell them how much I love them. You don¡¦t realize how you could have it until you walk and see those kids.  What an inspiration they should be to all of us.¡¨
