Brooklyn, MI. (June 16, 2008) – While under cloudy conditions Friday afternoon Dodge Driver Dennis Setzer posted fast laps in both practice sessions. Qualifying was held the next morning under the hot sun which changed the handling of his No. 18 Melling Dodge. Setzer posted the17th fastest lap just behind teammate Stacy Compton. Once the green flag dropped Setzer began to fall back due to a loose truck. “I have lost total grip,” he said on lap 21. The condition worsened as the race went on. A late race pit stop while under the final caution on lap 95 for four fresh tires proved to help the Melling Dodge. Setzer gained four positions in the final three laps of the event to score a 16th place finish.
