- Mike Bliss will drive the No. 4 Open Joist Dodge this Saturday at Martinsville Speedway. Ryan Mathews will pilot the truck next week at Atlanta while regular driver Bliss competes in the NASCAR Busch Series race in Memphis.

- Bliss will be making his 17th NASCAR series start at the Martinsville Speedway this weekend. He has eight NASCAR Nextel Cup Series stars and nine NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series starts on the half-mile oval.

- Bliss has one pole at Martinsville Speedway. He won the pole 1999 while driving the No.99 truck. 

- Bliss will pilot “Duster” in the Kroger 200. This particular chassis has competed in four races this season.

Virginia Homecoming: Growing up right down the road in Leasburg, Crew Chief Marcus Richmond is no stranger to Martinsville Speedway.  He called the shots for Timothy Peters in several Bailey’s 200 events at the speedway. The duo scored five top five finishes from 2000 to 2005 before securing the victory that year in the famed late model race.

Bliss on Martinsville Madness: “Martinsville is always a busy race. You run so close together that you really have to be on top of your toes. You don’t get any breaks unless the race is under caution and they don’t normally last long. Lapped traffic always plays a big roll in the race because there is not a lot of room for them to go somewhere they are always in the way. You not only have to worry about passing the trucks on the lead lap, but you normally end up worrying about lapped traffic also. On top of that, passing at Martinsville is extremely hard. As a driver you really have to keep your cool from the drop of the green flag because chances are its going to be a wild afternoon.”
