Ken Schrader will be making his second NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start at Michigan International Speedway when he pilots the No. 18 Fastenal Dodge. The Michigan 200 will mark Schrader's 77th NCTS start. In his previous 76 races Schrader has an average starting position of 15th and finishing of 16h.
Schrader will pilot "Timmy" this weekend at Michigan. Schrader has driven this particular chassis in four events this season finishing in the top 10 once and the top 15 all four times.
Schrader and the No. 18 Fastenal Racing team scored their second top-10 finish of 2007 this past weekend at Texas, when they came home in the eighth position.
Boost of Confidence: "I really like driving this Fastenal Dodge. I was so glad I go to race it at Texas last weekend. This team is really on a roll right now. If we had not wrecked on lap one at Dover I know we would have three straight top-10 finishes. The good runs have not only boosted my confidence behind the wheel, but I can really see it in the crew guys. A lot of them have said it's just like old times and I am so glad to hear them say that. They have overcome so much this season. Every time I climb in that truck I know it's going to be good. They do such a good job at preparing the equipment back at the race shop that it really makes my job easy. We are not going to be satisfied till we get a win this season and I think that is just right around the corner."
