Kevin Hamlin will drive the No. 4 Open Joist Dodge this weekend at Lowes Motor Speedway. Hamlin tested the Dodge entry last week at Charlotte.

• He will be making his first career NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start at LMS on Friday.
• Hamlin has one previous NASCAR Busch Series start at Charlotte. He finished 15th in the 2005 Dollar General 300.
• The Quaker Steak and Lube 200 will mark Hamlin’s third NCTS start and second for Bobby Hamilton Racing. He finished 11th in the 2006 Daytona truck event.
• Hamlin will pilot “Demon” this Friday at LMS. This particular chassis is one of the newsiest configured chassis from Bobby Hamilton Racing and considered one of the best in the shop.

Hamlin on What He loves About Racing at Lowes Motor Speedway: "Just the history at this place. I have been watching races here since I was a kid. You dream of opportunities like this. It's pretty cool to get to run laps and obviously a race here. It's a fast track, and with the new paving and the way the tires are you really have to be on your toes or it'll bite you in a hurry. I think that is the biggest challenge of this track. You have to stay one step ahead of it. I know last week's test will help us overcome that. The test was really beneficial for us because it gave me a chance to work with Marcus and all the guys. So, our first meeting won't be when we go green together on Friday. The track is really sensitive to sun and temperature, so when you practice in the day you have to keep that in mind. It makes practice challenging because we race at night. You really don't want to be fast during practice or qualifying. Obviously, you don't want to be terribly slow, but history seems to show those who are fast during the day fade at night."

Hamlin on Crew Chief Marcus Richmond: "Well, it was my first time working with a crew chief that's younger than me. That was a little different for me. It kind of reminds me that I'm getting old. I was really happy and impressed with the chemistry I had with Marcus. We just seemed to click right away. And that always doesn't happen in this sport. All the guys on the team worked really well with each other and that's such a great trait to have. They know how to have fun and when to get down to business."

Racing with Bobby Hamilton Racing Again: "I'm really happy that BHR and Dodge asked me to come back and run some more races with them. We had a great run at Daytona in 2006. It was only a one race deal, but I never lost contact with them. I don't think we were able to really show what we could do together in just one race. To be able to come back again is a dream come true. We had a lot of fun during that race and everyone worked really well together."
