Ruttman will pilot "Bob Daddy" this weekend at Kansas. This particular chassis is the newest chassis built by Bobby Hamilton Racing and will be making its first start this weekend. It was named after the late Bobby Hamilton Sr.

Ruttman has made 65 previous starts for BHR. He recorded five wins, 12 poles, 23 top-five finishes and 40 top-10 finishes.

Ruttman on driving for Bobby Hamilton Racing: "The employees at BHR has made it a point to make sure that Bobby Sr.'s wishes be fulfilled. He worked his tail off his whole racing career to build this really, really good race team and he wanted to continue it. He didn't want to say, 'OK, I'm checking out, the heck with everybody else. He was so loyal to all the employees, especially those who had been with him since day one. That place was his life and I'm honored to be with them again. I'm at the shop every day, kidding with the guys about all the races we had in the past. Why we lost the ones we did, why we won particular races and what it's going to take for us to get back to the same level again when Bobby won the championship and we won races. It's a real exciting time for all of us. He's still here, especially when you go in the shop. I still feel his presence. I know Bobby's still guiding us, which is cool."

Ruttman on Racing: "I know it's a really good story for everyone to print that I have been sitting back with nothing to do the past five years and now I get a second chance at racing. The reality is that I have not been sitting at home twiddling my thumbs. I have been in some type of racing vehicle testing for numerous owners and manufacturers. I have had a lot of seat time and have learned so much. Testing all the time has made me a better driver. It not only provided me with more laps on the track, but it provided me with the time to think about what we were doing and why. I am a much smarter race car driver this time around. I have a better knowledge now on what the truck is doing and the adjustments we need to make. I have the utmost confidence in Jeff (White) and his ability to interpret what I am feeling and making the right adjustments on the truck. I was a good race car driver before, but now I am more knowledgeable and more determined than ever. I realize everyone's looking at me going, 'You know, you've been out of the sport. You're getting older. Your reflexes, your eyesight, your ...,' but that just gives me more incentive to prove everyone wrong. I think we all at BHR have something left to prove."
