For the second week in a row Dodge Development Driver Chase Miller ran into trouble in the opening laps of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event. Miller started the Silverado 350K at Texas Motor Speedway in 20th position and immediately used the high line to gain positions. Directly in front of him Erik Crocker blew an engine on the first lap causing Miller to hit the wall in turn four. Miller was forced to pit road under the caution for extensive right side damage. Miller restarted in the 34th position and was working his way through traffic when he hit the wall again in turn four, cutting down a right front tire. Miller pitted under green on lap eight resulting in going two laps down to the leader. The right front tire damage plagued the No. 4 Fastenal Dodge team most of the night. Miller would finish the 23rd NCTS event of the season in 30th position.
