- Rookie Chase Miller will be making his first career NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start at Texas Motor Speedway on Friday.
- The Silverado 350 will mark Miller’s sixth NCTS career start. In his previous five races Miller has an average starting position of 15th and a finishing position of 22nd.
- Miller will once again be sporting the Fastenal paint scheme this weekend at Texas. He will be piloting BHR chassis “Duster”.
Miller on his first trip to Texas Motor Speedway: “I have never been to Texas Motor Speedway so practice will be valuable to me. I have talked to several drivers in the series and they say it’s a lot like Las Vegas and Atlanta. I qualified well at both of those tracks, but did not have the finishes I hoped for. You always here the ‘third time’s the charm’ and I am hoping that comes true with me this weekend. Our plan was to take our primary from Atlanta to Texas, but that went out the window when I wrecked. I have never raced this chassis before, but my crew chief tells me she is as good as Demon was. I guess we will wait and see.”
Miller on learning to keep the truck in its ‘comfort zone’: “The trucks actually have a little less horsepower than an ARCA car does and that is what my experience has been in," Miller said. "The way the trucks drive is a lot different. Trucks want to be real free and kind of get loose. It's like they hang on a cushion of air. It's a little different until you get used to it. The first few laps at Las Vegas, I thought, 'I'm going to lose the truck.' As soon as somebody sucked up to your bumper, it really loosened you up," he said. "But if they got up to your right front, it really tightened the truck up. It's a lot more subtle in a car. But there's a security there that its only going to go so far. However, once it goes around, you've gone through the comfort zone. I learned a big lesson at Vegas and it helped me last week at Atlanta.
Miller on his early success in the NCTS: “My whole career, I've raced in traveling series,” Miller said. “I never stayed at one place to run for a track championship like so many drivers’ do. I think that has helped me be much more competitive faster. In a way, it's surprising we're doing so well so early, but in the back of my mind, I expected this. I expect to go out and win races. It's really nothing less than what I expect from myself.”

Chase Miller started racing on two wheels instead of four. At the tender age of five Miller competed in several motor cross races and local dirt races along with his cousins. He made the jump to four wheels when he turned 10.
