Scott Lagasse Jr. will be back on track in NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series action this weekend. Lagasee Jr. will make his first career start at Talladega in the John Deere 250 at on Saturday. He will be driving BHR Chassis “Mini Me” which finished 8th at Daytona in February with Bobby Hamilton Jr. behind the wheel. The John Deere 250 will mark Lagasse’s 9th NCTS career start.
Scott Lagasse Jr. on Racing at Talladega: “I am really looking forward to racing at Talladega. I am sure it will be an experience I will never forget. I was not able to run Daytona at the beginning of the season because I was not approved so this will be my first chance at superspeedway racing, but I am not worried about it. I have been talking to a lot different people about how you race there. The biggest thing is to be patient. Things happen extremely fast so you have to be careful not to overreact. I know in the past Bobby Hamilton Sr. has managed to hang back in the pack and make his move with about 15 laps to go and it has paid off for him. I am not sure how long you can hang in the back without getting yourself in trouble, but I am sure we will try it. It is such a gamble. It does not matter if you are in the front or the back, when the wreck happens, it can bite you. I just hope to complete all the laps and come home in one piece.”
