● Scott Lagasse Jr. will be making his first start at Martinsville Speedway in the Kroger 250 on Saturday.   
● Lagasse Jr. will be behind of the wheel of chassis “Butthead” at Martinsville. This particular chassis has made numerous starts for Bobby Hamilton Racing and went to victory lane at Indianapolis Raceway Park in 2004.  
• Lagasse Jr. is currently 36th in driver points heading into the Martinsville Kroger 250.

Scott Lagasse Jr. on Short Track Racing in Martinsville: “I have never been to Martinsville, but I have watched the last couple of races there. It’s a flat track and I tend to perform well on those tracks. I think I will have a lot of fun at Martinsville. My crew chief Randy Seals has told me how important it is to take care of your equipment at this place. Track position is essential to having a good day and pit stops are as important here as anywhere. I am lucky because I have Timothy Peters as a teammate at BHR. Timothy is well known around Martinsville because of his success at the race track. We have had a chance to sit and talk about the upcoming race and I know he will be there for me to lean on once we get to the track.”

Rookie Battle in the NCTS: “To be honest with you I don’t worry about the other rookies to much. It is my job to get the most out of what I have and what my guys give me. If I am worried about someone else on the track then I am not getting a 100 percent out of what I am given. My guys and Bobby Hamilton Racing deserve everything from me. I am glad we have such a large rookie class because it helps to have others out there with you who have never seen the race track. The rookie practice is beneficial to us, but I have just not had the chance to take advantage of it yet. There is not a lot of time between practices so it makes it harder to maximize the rookie practice because we are spending time changing the set up of the truck. And to be honest with you I do not want to waste a set of tires that practice. I hope to start running better soon so I can start battling with the other rookies up front.”

On Bobby Hamilton Stepping out of the Truck: “I knew about the press conference about 15 minutes before the rest of the world. It was a shocker for sure. My dad just got done battling prostrate cancer and this hits home just as hard. Bobby (Hamilton) is a strong guy and he has the best attitude. He has impressed me this past week with his composure and strength. He has been at the shop everyday just to check on everyone. He is just as committed to winning races has he was at the beginning of the year. In fact, he may be more determined now to get us up front. My goal is to go to the race track and do the best we can for BHR and I know Timothy and Bobby Jr. feel the same way.”
