What Motivates You: “Failure motivates me. I don’t mean like wrecking in a truck race, or an IROC race, that is not something that I consider failure. I am more talking about failure to make a race. Such as when John Mickel qualified as the highest BHR Dodge and didn’t make the race in Atlanta. He is such a nice guy and we look forward to working with him again in Texas. This time he has a place in the lineup no matter what so we won’t have to go through that again. I also look at our Nextel Cup car as something that motivates me and I don’t think anything we’ve done on it this year is a failure. We’ve learned so much and have made great strides each time we run it. So I am motivated to keep learning more. We take a lot of pride in our operation at BHR and to keep it going is motivation enough.” Winding Down: “There are only a few more races left this year. We’re focusing all of our efforts on winning a race in these final ones. Timothy or Chase needs a win this season and I am due for another one as well. I’ve won in Phoenix in a Cup car and also won in Homestead in a truck, so our chances there are pretty good to repeat. We tested at all these tracks and are really pumped about going into each track for the final time this year.”                                                                                       Difference in Points Racing: “It’s really different racing my Cup car and racing my truck.It was nice to not have to worry about points or racing for a huge finish in my Cup car on Sunday and just take notes and run the race. We learned a lot. When you strap into a truck and race in that series all year long, worrying about points or finishes, it’s a lot of pressure. So on Sunday I got to race with some total experts and we all really were aware of what was going on during the race with each other’s cars. Sometimes these guys get a little wild in the trucks, such as the ending in the truck race at Atlanta Motor Speedway, and it is nice to not have to think about all of that and log some laps to learn something.The same pressure is not there.”
