| No. 4 Bailey's Dodge Timothy Peters Race Review 09-27-2005 | Las Vegas, NV
“We made it through that first wreck and I thought maybe our luck had changed,” Peters said following the event. “We just couldn’t get the truck to handle the way we wanted it to. It was just way too loose. We finally got it fairly decent at the end of the race but we had to much ground to make up. I know this Bailey’s Dodge is a lot better than what we showed tonight.”
• Peters did a masterful job in avoiding the spinning truck of Tracy Hines on lap two but Hines’ tire struck the front left corner of the No. 4 Bailey’s Dodge. • A long green flag run combined with a torrid pace set by the leaders puts Peters one lap down on lap 36. • Peters pits on lap 66 for four fresh Goodyear tires, a full load of Sunoco fuel and a track bar adjustment. Peters exits the pits in the 28th position. • Peters pits again on lap 114 for tires, fuel and another track bar adjustment. • On the restart on lap 133 Peters radioed his crew to let them know he had a flat tire. He came down pit road to rectify the problem and exited in the 27th spot. • Peters reclaims one position on the final green-white-checker finish and finished 26th. Todd Bodine won the Las Vegas 350 passing eventual second place Ted Musgrave on the white flag lap. David Starr, Jack Sprague and Bobby Hamilton followed in the top five.
