No. 18 RoadLoans Dodge Chase Montgomery Phoenix Race Preview
11-08-2005 | Bristol Motor Speedway
Phoenix Preview: “I raced at Phoenix last year in the Truck race and in the Busch race in 2003. I feel like I have experience heading into this weekend. It is a really fun track to race on, but it is unique. It is tricky track and it took me some time to figure the place out but towards the end of the race last year I was very comfortable getting around the place. It has two very distinct different corners and a dogleg on the back starightaway that is almost a corner in itself. The different ends of the track make it difficult to drive and it is necessary to have strong horsepower to run well. My guys have been giving me great trucks and Arrington Engines provides for great horsepower. We are taking my favorite truck this weekend. We have had great success in this particular chassis all year and I expect the same result this weekend. We have had our share of bad luck this season and hopefully that is all behind us. I want to end this season on a high note and Phoenix is a great place to start.”
50th Career NCTS Start: “It is hard for me to believe I will be making my 50th career NCTS start this weekend. It seems like yesterday I was climbing into a truck for the first time. I am truly thankful for the opportunities I have been given over the past two years to achieve my dream. It is not everyday someone my age gets to wake up every morning and do what they love. I love nothing more than to walk away from Phoenix with a top five. It would be a great way of celebrating my 50th start. The NCTS is a great series and provides the fans with the best races every weekend. I am proud to be a part of not only Bobby Hamilton Racing, but the NCTS as well.”
