Chase On California
Chase is coming off a discouraging 27th place finish last week in Las Vegas. He is looking to rebound with a solid outing this week at the California Speedway.
“This has been a heck of a week and we need to end it with a good race in California. The track is very much like Michigan and we had a good set up and strong truck there earlier this year. There is a lot of room for racing which give us several different racing grooves. It is very important to have a strong motor at California and our Arrington motors have been just that all year. We need to rebound and get ourselves a strong run and California could be just the place.”
#8 DODGE at California:
Chase will be racing the truck named “Hulk” this week. This will be the seventh race of the season for “Hulk” and it has been a successful one for the team on the 1.5 mile tracks or larger. The truck was raced last week at Las Vegas and before that at Nashville, Michigan, Kentucky, Kansas and Texas.
Turning 21:
Chase turned 21 on Wednesday as he and his team finished up their stay in Las Vegas. Among other functions, Montgomery and his BHR2 team members were treated to a show by the teams hospitality partner in Vegas – Stratosphere Hotel & Casino.
Montgomery is the youngest full time competitor in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
New Sponsor:
Alpine Engineered Products, Inc. has come on board with Chase and his BHR2 for four races which started last week in Las Vegas. The Alpine logo and company slogan (Technology Driven) will adorn the rear quarter panels of #8 DODGE. The program is a marketing support tool for the upcoming Building Component Manufacturer’s Conference (BCMC) in Charlotte next month which is the largest trade show of the year for Alpine and its industry.
Career at California:
Chase will be making his second career debut at the California Speedway. He competed at the track last season in the NASCAR Busch Series event.
