Chase On Memphis:
Chase and his BHR2 team are coming off a strong run last weekend in Texas. Chase piloted his #8 DODGE to a 17th place finish in the O’Reilly 400 and looks to carry that momentum into Memphis this week.
“I really like Memphis. I ran real well there last year in the Busch car and we seemed to have something figured out before we lost an engine. It is important to hit on it with your chassis set-up and if we do that I think we are in for another very good run this week. Plus, we are racing in our home state of Tennessee so everyone on the team will have friends and family around and that is always special.”
#8 DODGE at Memphis:
Chase will be racing “Chunky” this week at Memphis. This will be the first race for “Chunky” this year. Chase and the team did test the truck at Pikes Peak a few months ago and the truck seemed to handle real well. The team looks to get the right set-up under “Chunky” and have Chase pilot it to the front.
Racing in Home State of Tennessee:
Chase and his BHR2 team members have the privilege this week of racing in their home state of Tennessee. This is one of three NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races this year in the state and each time it is special for Chase and all of the guys on the team.
The BHR2 crew, nicknamed the “Tennessee Ten”, all hail from within Tennessee or the immediate surrounding area and thus the appropriate nickname. Chase and crew welcome the opportunity to race in their home state and to be close to home on the Father’s Day weekend.
Victory Junction Gang:
To show their support and to commemorate the Grand Opening of the Victory Junction Gang Camp earlier this week, Chase will carry the Victory Junction Gang logo on the bedcover of his #8 DODGE.
Memphis Appearances:
Chase will be busy with appearances in the Memphis area this week.
First, on Thursday on his way to the Memphis area – Chase will be making an appearance along with his #8 DODGE show truck at Harper’s Chrysler in Dixon, TN from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. From there, Chase will proceed to the Hooter’s on New Brunswick Road in Memphis where he will meet up with his team members for a meet and greet starting at 7:30 p.m.
Then on Friday morning, Chase will join some other NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series drivers and make a special visit to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in the Memphis area from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.
Finally, after a full day of on-track activities – Chase will take part in an autograph session at the tracks Fanfest activities right behind the grandstands from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Career at Memphis:
Chase will be making his 2nd career NASCAR start at the Memphis Motorsports Park. He raced at the .75 mile tri-oval last season in the Busch Series and was running inside the top 15 before an engine failure prematurely ended his day.
