Chad Chaffin qualified the No. 18 Dickies Dodge in tenth position with a time of 30.584 seconds for tomorrow’s Infineon 200 night race at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. Chaffin was 10th fastest in the first practice session today on the 1.5-mile oval.
“That was a good lap,” Chaffin said. “The guys did a great job with the truck. I’m not going to get too excited. We’ll just wait and see how it stacks up. It’ll be a good start. The Arrington Motors are just fantastic. That thing has all kinds of horsepower. Everybody at BHR is doing a great job, and we got in a pretty good lap. Now we’ll get ready to race.”
Moments into the final practice session, Chaffin was 14th on the chart.
David Starr won the Pole starting position with a time 30.239 seconds. Carl Edwards, Mike Skinner, Matt Crafton and Bobby Hamilton follow in the top five.
The Infineon 200 airs live on Speed Channel, Fri. May 21st at 8:30 pm EDT.
