| Chase Montgomery Lowe’s Infineon 200 Preview 05-19-2004 | Charlotte, NC
Event: Infineon 200 Chase On Lowe’s: “I would have to consider Lowe’s as one of my most favorite tracks. The first time I raced here I sat on the front row in an ARCA race. We have done some testing the past few weeks at Pikes Peak and Texas and I believe that we have our 1.5 mile speedway package in real good shape. It is always nice to run at Charlotte because it is home for so many teams. We need to get some positive momentum going here for myself and the team and I can’t think of a better place to do just that.” #8 DODGE at Lowe’s: Also, “Trix” is the chassis that was run last year by Bill Lester when he sat on the pole with it at the inaugural NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Lowe’s. Lowe’s Sponsor: Based in the Atlanta area, Big Daddy’s is an authorized Harley Davidson connection as well as specializing in custom bikes. Drive For Diversity: Amar Johnson has come on board with the team as their new jackman. Amar, 24, has officially been with the team the last 2 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series events. With encouragement from his college professor at NC A&T, Johnson applied for the program and was invited to a combine as a result. From there he was chosen as one of the final members and under went an 8 week training course at the 5-Off-5-On school. After the completion of this training, Amar joined the team as its new jackman. His goals are pretty simple, learn the sport from all aspects and become a full-time member in the shop and on the road for a NASCAR team.
