Bobby Hamilton
Racing, Chase Montgomery Announce Associate Sponsor for ’04 NASCAR
Craftsman Truck Series
Lebanon, TN (February 2004) – Bobby Hamilton Racing (BHR), along with
driver Chase Montgomery, recently announced the addition of associate
sponsor Gladiator™ GarageWorks by Whirlpool Corporation for the 2004
Craftsman Truck Series season on Montgomery’s No. 8 Dodge.
The Gladiator™ GarageWorks associate sponsorship will begin during the
first Craftsman Truck Series race in Daytona on February 13, 2004 and will
continue the rest of the year through Homestead. Chase Montgomery of Mt.
Juliet, Tennessee will be driving the No. 8 Dodge Ram for Bobby Hamilton
Racing.
“We are fortunate to be bringing another sponsor into Bobby Hamilton
Racing, and we’re excited about what our companies can do together,” said
Bobby Hamilton, team owner of the No. 8 Dodge Ram. “The team is thrilled
about Gladiator™ GarageWorks joining our family. They are a great fit for
our current sponsors and another piece of the puzzle. Chase will put on a
good show for them each weekend, which will hopefully help Gladiator™
GarageWorks continue to grow their business through its race sponsorship.
Their products are very tough and it makes them a good fit for BHR.”
“Gladiator™ GarageWorks is proud to be a sponsor of Bobby Hamilton Racing
and the Chase Montgomery race team during the upcoming racing campaign,”
said Christopher Hubbuch, Manager, Integrated Marketing Communications
Gladiator™ GarageWorks. “Chase and the team will play an important role in
the Gladiator™ marketing campaign, working to raise awareness and reach
out to key audiences around the country.”
In 2002, Chase Montgomery competed in the ARCA RE/MAX racing series
earning four top-five, ten top-ten finishes and finished fourth in the
point standings. After his victory in the Advanced Auto Parts 200 at
Daytona International Speedway in 2003, Montgomery set the standard by
being the highest finishing rookie the following weekend in his NASCAR
Busch Series debut at the 2.5 mile speedway. In 30 career ARCA starts,
Chase has one win, six top-five and twelve top-ten finishes and finished
second in the ARCA Rookie-of-the-Year standings in 2002.
In 2004, owner Bobby Hamilton is focused on making history. Joining
Hamilton will be second-year driver Chad Chaffin with the No. 18 truck and
making his debut with BHR, Chase Montgomery will drive the No. 8 truck.
The goals of the race team remain simple. BHR hopes to do the impossible
by placing all three teams in the top ten in the final standings, winning
the driver’s championship and establishing BHR as the most successful team
in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
