Back to Texas: It is back to Texas Motor Speedway for Bill Lester and the No. 8 Strauss Auto Parts/The Club Dodge team. For Lester, it means a return to the type of track that he likes and excels on.

"It's simple. I love the speedways," said Lester. "I love going fast. There's no secret that short track racing is not my favorite thing to do. I just don't have a great deal of experience, and by the time I get a handle on the track, I am already a lap down or well behind the leaders. On the speedways, I'm right there with the leaders, and in a few cases this year, I've been the leader. So I guess I'm just a little more confident on the big tracks."

Lester and the team enter this week's race at Texas Motor Speedway after a disappointing run last week, with aspirations of run up front and regain the 12th position in the points standings.

"We just need a strong run this week and everything will be ok," said Lester. "If we can have a top ten or top five this week, we'll be just fine."

50 Starts: When Lester takes the green flag for the event at Texas Motor Speedway this weekend, it will be his 50th start in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
"That's tremendous," said Lester. "When I started this deal a few years ago at Portland International Speedway, I could have only hoped that I would reach a milestone like this one. Now I just need to get things in order for next year so I can continue my dream."

Championship Contenders: With four races remaining in the 2003 season, there are nine drivers that can still mathematically win the 2003 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Championship.

This Week's Truck: Lester and the No. 8 Team will be taking "Trix" to Texas Motor Speedway this week. It is not the same truck that they raced with there earlier this season. Trix is the truck that Lester scored his career best finish of tenth place at Kansas Speedway in July of this year.
