Square D Racing Preview ------------------------------

Event:             GNC Live Well 200
Location:         Milwaukee Mile
Qualifying:      June 27th 4:00 PM EDT
Race Start:      June 28th 3:00 PM EDT Live on Speed

Races With Strategy:  “Jimmy Smith (Owner, Ted Musgrave and Jason Leffler) and I were talking before the last race and we were discussing how things have changed over the years.  It used to be that we would go to a place and there would be two or three trucks there that could win.  Now it’s harder to win in the Craftsman Truck Series.  We counted 11 or 12 trucks that have a legitimate shot at winning a race.  It’s getting tougher and tougher every week to pass no matter how good your equipment is for that track.  Everybody seems to be an equal.  That’s what it’s all about, good competition.”

Quirky Quotes:  “I’m always watching CMT because I love music so much.  I like listening for background music and how it has been put together.  There is a new song out that is a duet by Willie Nelson and Toby Keith called ‘Beer for My Horses.’  It has the funnies part at the end of the video when Toby says, ‘I’d have had that bad boy if you would have given me one more minute.’  And Willie replies with the best saying, ‘Yeah if a frog had wings it wouldn’t bump its butt either.’  That is similar to how we all look at racing too.  We say, ‘if I would have had another gear, if I would have had more laps or if I would have pitted then the race outcome would be different.’  We would all be better if…right?  It just comes down to we all have to take the good with the bad and go on with it.”

Veteran Newcomer:  “Milwaukee is another one of those tracks that I have not raced at before.  I know there is a ton of history there with racing, but I’ve never been in a truck at that track.  It will be a little learning curve for us until I get used to it.  I’ll be depending on my teammates to help me out there until I get acclimated with the track.  That is the beauty part of having a three-team stable.  We can throw stuff back and forth between each other and know that we are trying to help the betterment of BHR.”

Notes:
·        Hamilton is the only driver to have led in all eight races this year and the only competitor to have finished in the top 10 in every event.

·        The current points leader (84 points over Travis Kvapil) is the only driver to complete each of this year’s 1,461 laps.

·        This weekend’s No. 4 Dodge is the same truck Hamilton drove in Martinsville and Bakersfield, both races Hamilton posted top-five finishes.
